The story starts in the small town of coastal North Carolinian. There was a group of boys lead by Landon Carter, a well known student of his school with no defined plans for his future get troubled and busted. As their punishments, they should do a school community service activities including the spring play. Since he can’t act very well, he ask the help of Jamie Sullivan the reverend’s daughter which is mousy seemingly awkward but beautiful girl with an angelic heart who can sing as well. They became closer to each other until Landon falling in love with her. They became lovers but the reverend’s worries because of the condition of Jamie. Without the knowledge of Landon, Jamie is dying. The tests of their relationship became greater and hard for Landon but Jamie keep on encouraging him that everything’s going to be alright. Then they found out the real meaning of true love and fate. Jamie changed Landon’s character and principles in life. Then Jamie died bringing the love of Landon and leaving her heart to him.
This story is so dramatic love story. It simplifies me that death can’t stop the true love because love is powerful and strong. It is not easy to accept that your love one or lover dies. You can’t easily forget her/him because of the strong foundation in your heart which is love, your love for that person. But we should always remember that life must go on. God has a perfect plan for you. Always thinks that everything’s happens with a purpose. And that purpose is not harmful but better for us. Trials in life are not punishments but it is a blessings. A blessing in disguise because through trials, our faith in God becomes stronger and we become a better person who can face the giant with confident and prepared heart and that giant is the problem of our life.
